Fortunata Folkloric Dance is Tribal Style technique infused with influences from Jamila Salimpour, gypsy style and Ethnic Style Belly dance.   Through posturing, centering and movement,  Fortunata Folkloric Dance will provide you an opportunity to connect to others and connect to your core.  Get back to basics and ground yourself through movement that is organic and ethnic to the folk traditions by the historic travels of the nomadic tribes with its roots in Egyptian, Turkish and Mediterranean descents.   Classes focus on stretches, both standing and sitting, to prepare and ground the body; shape and strengthen the body, and increase muscle and core awareness, basic posturing, arm, and hip movements as well as steps unique to folkloric traditions. Classes are progressive and are broken down into 6 week class packages.
